I Survived the First Week

Whew!!!! We survived the first week and it is back to the daily grind once more. I forgot how busy weekends can be doing laundry and cleaning the house when I work all week--I now have to do all the stuff on the weekends I was able to do during the week.

Not much went on this weekend--we went to visit Papa on Saturday--and Ryan had to bring his Halloween costume and wear it for Papa. He is going to be the Hulk. Mike got him a cool costume with muscles and these gloves that make smashing noises and say things like "I am angry--you won't like it when I am angry." Ryan has worn his costume all weekend wrestling with anyone that will let him. It is so funny! Brandon is going to be a little green dinosaur. I can't wait to take them out trick or treating. We usually do big neighborhood party the night of Halloween. Our friends grill hot dogs for everyone and then we go out as a big group. It is fun!

With the cooler weather, we had to go get both boys some pants--especially Ryan. He had some pants from last year I tried on him back in early September with the start of school. I went to go put some on him this last week and they were two inches too short.

Sunday was lazy day and grocery store day. I was so physically and mentally exhausted we slept in, did loads of laundry and cleaned, then went grocery shopping. After naptime, we went out to play--the weather has been absolutely beautiful. It is finally cooling down in the evenings where we don't want to go inside.

Brandon was in such a good mood today....He has really started "talking" and spent most of the afternoon babbling away. When we were outside, he flirted with all the ladies. He has been quite the piggie at eating lately, so I imagine he is going to grow soon.

Tomorrow is once again the start of the week--and while I am looking forward to work, I am not looking forward to leaving the boys.
