Dedication

On Sunday, Mike and I dedicated the boys in church. It was beautiful and Mike said a prayer over the boys. Here it is:

Dear God, My wife Dawn and I would like to give thanksgiving to You for our two little precious boys, Ryan and Brandon. We feel truly blessed. They have brought such tremendous joy into our lives. We stand before You today, with our church family bearing witness, that as parents we are committed to raising our children on Your behalf. We pledge to shepherd the hearts or our children in the ways of Your wisdom, God. We pray that as both Ryan and Brandon continue to grow and mature physically that they also grow and mature spiritually in the ways of Christ. That they will by faith and re-birth accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. That they will seek and develop a committed, loving relationship with You. That they will completely and whole heartedly surrender themselves to You, God, to be used for righteous purposes. That they will worship You and live to glorify Your name. Lastly, we pray that You will continue to bless Ryan and Brandon with good health so that they may lead fruitful lives and use their God given gifts and talents to serve others. In Jesus' name, Amen.
